Known for her expertise in operating the MPC, Stoni has showcased her beats at major music industry events and trade shows. Being the first female hip hop producer to showcase beats on the drum machine for Akai Professional.
Stoni grew up in a home with parents who enjoyed listening to different genres of music and contributed greatly to her love for music. While interning at several major recording studios around New York City including Chung King and Music Palace, Stoni gained a vast knowledge of the music and recording industry.
With tracks that run through you like the streets of her hood in Brownsville, the buzz is up and the lights are shining on Stoni as she is making her way to the front line of the music industry. In her hometown of New York City, Stoni holds the title as the first female music producer to ever compete in a beat battle and first female to ever win. Stoni is also the first international female beat battle competitor and champion. Stoni has been featured in several magazines that include being the first female music producer featured in Scratch Magazine, the hip hop music producer’s bible.
In June 2004, Stoni was among some of the music industry most renown musicians, producers, artist, and songwriters for the 2nd annual Remix Hotel NYC where she spoke about her work and experience as a female music producer,particularly the moment when she became the first female beat battle champion, and then rocked the audience with a live performance on her drum machine. In October 2004, Stoni performed a showcase at the CMJ Music Marathon for the most anticipated performance at opening night. With a drum machine in arms reach, beats marked the spot for a special delivery from New York City's newest producer.
In January 2006, Stoni was the only female hip hop music producer who performed a live music showcase for thousands of spectators at The Winter Namm Show in California and she demonstrated her skills on the MPC2500 at Remix Hotel Miami 2006 and Remix Hotel NYC 2006.
In addition to producing music, Stoni is also a contributing technology write for Remix Magazine. Stoni is the first female music producer to be endorsed by music software company Propellerhead to help introduce and promote Reason Version 4. In September 2007, Stoni was on location in Stockholm, Sweden to shoot a demonstration video to introduce the “ReGroove Mixer” for Reason Version 4.
