Redeeming the Promotion and Installing

  2. Click on the link and you will be taken to the Eventide website to register the plugin. You will be prompted to log in or create an account if you do not already have one.

Please note: You will also need an iLok ID in order to redeem the license for Eventide Blackhole. If you do not yet have an iLok ID, start a free account at ilok.com. This ID is used to keep track of licenses for a lot of your plugins and software, including any AIR plugins included with your Advance 49 and MPC Touch. Please keep a record of your ID in case it is lost or forgotten. The ID will need to be entered exactly as it appears in your account.

  5. To register, choose Native Plug-in (VST, AU, AAX) from the Product Category menu and Blackhole Plug-in from the Product menu.

Enter your iLok ID in the iLok.com account field. Remember: Your iLok ID is case and character sensitive. Please enter the ID exactly as it appears on your account.

  6. When you're ready, click Register. You will then be taken to the My Products page where you can download the plugin and manual. Download the plugin and follow the prompts during installation. For Windows users, please assign the Destination Folders carefully. Make sure that the VST32 and VST64 files are being installed to the same folder as your other VST plugins.

For example, I have re-directed the plugin to install to C:Program FilesSteinbergvstplugins where the rest of my AIR plugins are installed:

Authorizing Blackhole

  1. Before opening the plugin and getting started, you'll need to transfer your new license to your computer or your iLok dongle by using your iLok License Manager. This will have been installed with your AIR plugins and can be found in your Programs or Applications folders.

  2. Click on Sign In at the top left to log in to your iLok account. Click on the account icon in the top left and you will see your Blackhole license assigned to your account:

  3. Right-click on the license and select Activate to activate the license to your computer or iLok dongle:

  4. When prompted, choose your computer or iLok dongle (if you have one) from the list and click Activate. Press OK to confirm the activation in the next window.

Congratulations! Blackhole has been installed and activated. You are ready to open your DAW and get lost in the deep, endless reverbs of Blackhole.
